Research Technician (#0811D)

Education and Training:

The successful candidate will have at least B.S. degree in microbiology, immunology, or a related field.
Preferential candidates will have at least one year of experience in a biological research laboratory with preference given to a background in virology or immunology, and experience with animal models and cell culture techniques.
The candidate is expected to have experience with common molecular and cellular assays.
The candidate is expected to have strong verbal and written communication skills, and be independently motivated to excellence.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

Perform in vitro screening assays and animal model systems for the assessment of the efficacy of the Centerâ€™s therapeutic products.
Maintain excellent communication with supervisor.
Analyze and summarize data for presentation to project teams
Maintain laboratory notebook and records in a detailed and descriptive manner.
Understand the confidential nature of the research and conduct all interactions within the constraints of the Centerâ€™s policies.
