Education and Training:
- The successful candidate will have a M.S. or B.S. degree in microbiology, immunology, or a related field.
- Preferential candidates will have at least five years of experience in a biological research laboratory with preference given to a background in virology or immunology, and at least one year of experience with animal models and cell culture techniques.
- The candidate is expected to have experience with common molecular and cellular assays.
- The candidate is expected to have strong verbal and written communication skills, and be independently motivated to excellence.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Develop in vitro screening assays and animal model systems for the assessment of the efficacy of the Center’s therapeutic products.
- Maintain excellent communication with supervisor, project and Center’s Scientific teams.
- Analyze and summarize data for presentation to project teams.
- Maintain laboratory notebook and records in a detailed and descriptive manner.
- Manage day-to-day laboratory activities, maintenance, and ordering.
- Understand the confidential nature of the research and conduct all interactions within the constraints of the Center’s policies and compliance protocols.
